Aruba
Why Aruba? Miles of beaches, known for their rich "honey" colored sand, fine dining and shopping, gambling casinos, and first-class resorts. Aruba lies at the heart of southern Caribbean and is one of the Caribbean's most popular vacation spots, with nearly a million visitors throughout the year. Aruba weather is almost the same throughout the entire year. 82 degrees F. average for the day and 79 degrees F. for the night. In order to sustain life to those beautiful exotic plants, Aruba does experience occasional short showers mainly in November and December, which almost guarantees a sunny vacation. Aruba is very friendly and safe; it is entirely outside of the hurricane belt.
The island is 20 miles long, and at its widest point six miles across, with a total area of 70 square miles. Only a two hour flight from Miami, and just a mere 15 miles off the coast of Venezuela makes traveling seem only a skip away.
Oranjestad is Aruba's largest city was formed shortly after 1796 when Fort Zoutman was built. The fort remains today as a museum, one of the town’s attractions.
